| Ministerial Staff of Beloved Community Church: as an Assistant Pastor at the BCC and as the Director of Christian Education. She also serves with the community based Stakeholders of Prince Georges County HIV/AIDS Ministry. She was licensed and ordained at Fort Foote Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joseph Lyles and served in the Youth, Young and Senior Adult ministries, Liturgical Dance ministry, Family Life, served as one of the teachers of the Berean Sunday School class and directed the Communications Ministry. She loves teaching as well as preaching and counseling. She was graduated from Morgan State University and Rutgers Medical School (now Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine). She is currently part of is the Division of Neonatology at Georgetown University Hospital where she cares for and ministers to critically ill infants and their families. She also graduated with honors from Howard University School of Divinity with a concentration in Old Testament. She desires to always to be available to the Lord, to continue to grow spiritually, and to be a true worshipper no matter what the circumstances. One of her favorite scripture is: Philippians 4:11 “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” She is striving to live a content Christ centered life. Reverend Carl E. Taylor, Sr serves as an Assistant Pastor at BCC and is director of Church Stewardship. He earned a BA degree from Hampton University, and graduated summa cum laude with a dual Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and Business Management from Webster University. Rev. Taylor proudly served his country US Air Force and Air Force National Guard. He was licensed and ordained as a Deacon at Solid Rock Baptist Church. He was licensed in 1998 and ordained into the gospel ministry in 2002 at Fort Foote Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joseph Lyles. There he served as the Youth Ministry, was one of the teachers of the Berean Sunday School Class and served as the faithful drummer for the Women's Choir and the Vessels of Praise Choir for many years. He also served 10 years as the District of Columbia Baptist Convention Youth Retreat Teacher and Group Leader. Rev. Taylor is the founder and CEO of Biblical Financial Basics (BFB) where he, his wife and their consultant team provide financial stewardship consultation, accounting, business management, Human Resources management and seminars to churches and small businesses throughout the Washington D.C. Metropolitan region. He has also worked as a detective in the Fairfax County Police Department for many years. Rev. Taylor gives GOD all the Glory, Honor, and Praise for his loving and devoted wife Pamela, his high school sweetheart, who he married in 1980, his wonderful and poetic son Carl Jr., and his wonderful sweet spirit filled singing daughter Sharese, His favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding, In all thine ways acknowledge him and he shall direct our paths.” Rev. Samoris Hall serves with his wife, Rev. Paula Hall at BCC as the Church Administrator, sings on Beloved Praise and directs the Youth Ministry. They were licensed at BCC in January 2009. After joining the US Air Force (USAF) at the age of 17, he earned his Associates Degree in Personnel Management from the Community College of the Air Force. Rev. Hall was ordained as a Deacon at Fort Foote Baptist Church in 2003 under Rev. Joseph W. Lyles and served as the Deacon for the Ushers, Nurses and Tribe Judah Praise Team. Rev. Hall also taught the Berean Sunday School class with his wife Rev. Paula, and served in the Men’s Ministry and the Homeless Ministry . Rev. Hall is a 27-year veteran of the United States Air Force where he was blessed to achieve the esteemed rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He is honored to have served in the Protocol arena, where he hosted such notable leaders as the Vice President of the United States. Rev. Hall proudly retired from the Air Force as the Primary Enlisted Advisor to the National Guard Bureau Chief of Chaplains in 2005. He currently is the Course Director for the National Guard Bureau Joint Staff Action Officer Course. Revs. Samoris and Paula accepted the call to ministry in 2005. They feel a special anointing for teaching, marriage ministry and the spiritual development of young men. The Halls have been blessed to be married since 1987 and have three children: Areyal L. Hall, Samoris Hall Jr and Aaron M. Hall. When asked what he considered his most noteworthy achievement he answered: When I accepted the greatest gift of all, the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior. The scripture that guides his life both as an individual and as a family leader is Ephesians 6:10 – 20, The Whole Armor of God. Rev. Paula E. Hall serves with her husband at the BCC, where she serves as the minister of Praise & Worship and helps direct the Beloved Praise praise team. She graduated in 1982 from Va Tech with a BA in Political Science and earned an MBA from Incarnate Word College in 1990. Paula currently attends Howard University School of Divinity where she plans to graduate in 2010. She proudly served her country as an officer in the USAF and has worked over 25 years in telecommunications at such notable companies as Intel and Sprint/Nextel. Rev. Paula received her call into ministry at Fort Foote Baptist Church, where she participated in the Women's Ministry, Women's Choir, taught the Berean Sunday School class with Rev. Samoris and served as the Director of the Communications ministry. She and Rev. Samoris were jointly licensed as a husband and wife team in ministry at BCC in January 2009. Rev. Paula met her beloved husband, Rev. Samoris while they were both on active duty in the USAF. They were married in 1987 and are blessed to have three children: their daughter, Areyal, and two sons: Samoris Jr and Aaron. Rev. Paula recognizes the particular calling that the Lord has given to she and her husband to minister the Gospel as an Evangelism Teaching Team in Marriage Ministry and in the development of young people. Rev. Paula’s favorite scripture is 1 John 3: v. 2 – 3: “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that when He shall appear we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in him, purifleth himself even as He is pure.” |
